VScom PRO cards
-
DOS
-
The settings are configured by software. You need to run the program CARDCONF.EXE
from this place. CARDCONF changes the settings
of port-address and IRQ, and stores this configuration on the card. These
settings are only changed with cardconf. Please assure
your IRQ is working properly.
Note: You must not have a maximum of two boards from the PRO series
in one computer. In this case one board must be configured as board 0,
the other as board 1. If you fail to observe this, you can damage your
product.
If you want to program the serial ports by yourself, there is a software
skeleton saved on this CD-ROM. Also the
data sheets of some UART types are included.
-
Windows 95 / 98 and ME
-
The drivers are installed via a separate installation program named DrvConf.
Just run it from this place. This program
also configures the ports to the selected address and IRQ. Please assure
your IRQ is working properly.
As usual you need full administrators rights to install drivers.
-
Windows NT 4.0
-

Windows 2000
-
There is no special support with drivers for PRO series cards. It is necessary
to use the Microsoft drivers with these ports. Just configure the ports
as described in the DOS section. Then add the ports
manually via Device Manager.
-
Windows 3.11
-
First the ports must be configured via CARDCONF as described in the DOS
section.
Serial ports need the special driver
provided here.
-
Linux
-
First you must configure the ports with the DOS utility
to set the ressources. Then you must do the manual installation as described
in a FAQ document.
-
OS/2
-
As with Linux you configure the ports with the DOS
utility. Since you will have more than 4 ports or some on the same IRQ,
the OS/2 own driver can not operate the port. But there is a solution from
the shareware. This software is available from the authors website
and must be registered there. For your convenience the latest official
version 1.60d is stored on this CD-ROM.
If you like to distribute it yourself, only the complete ZIP-file
may be sent.
